Frequently Asked Questions

 The hall isn't open unless it's in use. On our Online Booking section you will find video tours and in the gallery you will find pictures. To view the hall in person one of of volunteers will need to go to the hall to show you around. As we all work full time this can be difficult to arrange but we will try to accomadate you.  

The hall is £20 per hour for single hire events. We do offer a discounted rate for regular (weekly) hires.

 When you leave your cash deposit prior to your hire starting this is held until the committee have verified the hall has been left in a suitable condition, free from damage and with no spills on the dancefloor. The caretaker WILL NOT return your deposit, please do not ask him. The deposit is usually £150 for a daytime booking and £250 for an evening event. The deposit must be cash, no deposit, no hire. 

Yes, you are welcome although it is not the best equipped you are free to use it, however, we expect it to be left clean and tidy. Our oven is currently not available to use. 

We do not have caterers although you are welcome to use the services of your chosen caterer.  Please remember, if your caterer leaves the kitchen in a mess, you are liable for the cleaning fees. 

Food must be served from the serving hatches, lino floor or wooden floor by the windows. It MUST NOT be served on the dancefloor due to a number of spillages requiring re-polishing, this incurs an immediate £50 charge. 

 No, we don't currently have a bar or licence. However we can pass you the details of a mobile bar who we recommend or you can use your own.  

 Yes, although unfortunately we do not allow 16-30th parties after suffering damage and noise upsetting our neighbours. While this may seem unfair, sadly after a number of bad experiences we had to take this decision.  We do allow bouncy castles/soft play but they must be clean and the provider MUST have valid liability insurance in place. 

  Our caretaker will open the hall 5 minutes before your booked start time and will close the hall 5 minutes after the booked time. Please ensure the hall is tidy and you are ready to leave to avoid the extra charges as set out in the hire agreement. Please note the extra charges in the hire agreement for over running. 

 If you need to cancel within 28 days of the date of the booking 10% of the total fee is charged. 21 days 15% of the total cost. 14 days is 25%. 7 days is 40%. 48 hrs is 65% 24 hrs is 75% on the day cancellation is non refundable. No shows  not be refunded. A no show is classed as 15 minutes late with no contact.
